Hey, i’m Erin!
First and foremost, you’re likely here because of the loss of a loving, furry companion, I am so sorry you are experiencing the hurt and heartbreak of losing a pet.
I grew up on a farm in Rural Alberta, surrounded by animals every day. I don’t think we truly realize how much of our time is spent with our pets until they are gone.
They become our shotgun riders
They keep the barns and our homes free of mice
They protect our cattle and property
They greet us with wagging tails and meows when we get home
I am a second generation owner and operator of West of the Fifth Pet Cremations. When my father sold his veterinary clinic, I took over this business, opening up from private vet work to public access for communities in Central Alberta.
There are animal cremation businesses in the cities, but none like ours in the rural areas. When you’re experiencing the sudden, tragic loss of a pet, arranging time to travel into the city can be an additional stressor that is completely unnecessary. This is why we are so dedicated to serving the country living and small town folks of Alberta.
We have experienced the loss of pets and farm animals over the years, and we are here to ease the process of helping your companions transition to the next stages of life.
We can guarantee that your pet will be treated with the care and respect that we treat our own.
We are happy to arrange pick up for any animals that have passed at your home, and transport them back to our facility for end of life care.
